If you want information from a web site in your presentation, there are various ways of going about it.
Do you need the information to be "live" or is a static picture of the page enough?
Live link
If you're certain that you'll have a live net connection when you give your presentation, you can set any shape's Action Setting as a hyperlink to any URL you like. Hyperlinks to a web page will cause PowerPoint to launch your default browser and point it at that web page when you click on the link.
Better yet - Live Web Pages within PowerPoint
Shyam Pillai's Live Web add-in lets you place and display live web pages on your PowerPoint slides. You won't need a web connection to play back the web page within PowerPoint.
Note that this is also a great way to add support for scripting (Java, Javascript, VBScript), streaming media and other web technologies that your browser supports but PowerPoint itself does not.
Static picture
If a picture's worth the thousand words you have in mind, bring up the page in your browser, do a screen shot of it, then paste the screen shot into PowerPoint.
You could also paste the screen shot into an image editing program, make any needed corrections and save from there, then choose Insert, Picture, From File to insert the saved image into PowerPoint.
