Sometimes features in PowerPoint and Office get bumped by something and break. The first line of defense is Office 2000's Detect and Repair feature, or an update reinstall of Office 97. If that doesn't work, uninstall, then reinstall Office. When you do that, it's a very good idea to run the appropriate version of Microsoft's "Office Eraser" after uninstalling and before re-installing. The erasers clean up bits of Office that the uninstaller leaves behind in the registry and/or on your hard drive (bits that can cause the installer to skip the very things you want it to re-install!) Windows Installer CleanUp Utility Office 2000 has two erasers, one each for CD 1 and 2 Or if you have Office 97, use the Office 97 Eraser instead.
