You can often recover recently deleted files from Windows' Recycle Bin.
Take a deep breath. Calm yourself. Now ...
- Quit PowerPoint if it's running
- Double-click the "Recycle Bin" icon on your Windows desktop
- If your file's there in the Recycle Bin, right-click it and click Restore
- Close the Recycle Bin
- Start PowerPoint and try opening the file from wherever it was when you deleted it
