Eliminate headers and footers from converted files

Problem
When you drag and drop a file onto the Acrobat icon or open the file into Acrobat, you get a header and/or footer like:

file:///C|directory/test.txt

Solution

  • In Acrobat, choose File, Create PDF, From Web Page
  • Click Settings
  • Remove the checkmark next to "Place headers & footnotes on new pages"
  • Click OK
  • Click Browse, then choose a local html file or just a .TXT file on your hard drive
  • Click Create

Acrobat will create a PDF from the file you chose. It shouldn't have footers/headers, and neither will any further files you drag onto Acrobat or create PDF from, etc.
