HTML Editors

W3C's Amaya editor/browser
To make some simple well-structured html that will convert easily to e-book format you could do worse than the W3C's Amaya editor/browser (www.w3.org). It's fairly easy to use and most importantly spits out good well-formed html which many of the other "visual" editors don't.

HTML editors that others have recommended to me:

First Page is a WYSIWYG style editor.

HTML-Kit -- tools for those who prefer to do their own tagging
