There's a new service called "WhaleMail" (www.whalemail.com) that may be useful for the sort of large file transfers you're doing. These folks provide (free!) 75 megs of file storage space and a web-based way for you to uploading files (via ftp). Their system will then notify the desired recipient(s) that these files are there for them to retrieve, and give them a URL from which they can retrieve the files.
