If you host your site on a Unix system, you may occasionally need documentation about a particular Unix command. From a Unix command prompt, you can type
man cmd
where cmd is the command or program you want help with.
If you're not at a Unix command line, try this:
http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?cmd
again, substituting the command or program you're interested in for cmd above.
